about us

As a chiropractor, I believe that the cause of most disease is rooted in the body’s nervous system. A well functioning spine free of interference is the key to good health. This is the basis of chiropractic practice. The body’s ability to heal itself is called innate intelligence. Ask yourself if the last time you received a cut did you tell your body to make a scab to cover the wound? After finishing your last meal did you ask your stomach to make hydrochloric acid to digest the food? If your answer is no then you understand the concept of innate intelligence, the body’s ability to function properly. What chiropractors do is free the spine of interference by adjusting the joints in the spine so that the brain can get its signals to the body’s other organs. This, in part, is how our bodies stay healthy.
Many people believe that chiropractors only treat low back and neck pain. Chiropractors treat many different conditions including headaches, carpal tunnel and arthritis. When a person has arthritis, activities of daily living such as walking, sitting and sleeping are all affected by constant pain and stiffness. Arthritis can affect people at any age, but does affect most of us as we age. More strenuous activities like golfing or running may become painful. Joints wear out, lose cartilage, and become swollen and restricted. By adjusting the joints, chiropractors release tightness and increase mobility so that a person can lead a more productive life.
My name is Darryl Linder DC and I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. After serving in the United States Marine Corps for a number of years I attended Clarkson University in New York where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Toxicology. After graduation, I went on to attend New York Chiropractic College where I received training to become a chiropractor.
After that training, I worked as an associated Doctor in Fitchburg, Wisconsin for four years and was trained in the Gonstead technique in the Gonstead clinic in Mt. Horab, Wisconsin. In 2005 I was humbled to receive the Nels Bakke award from the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association. The Nels Bakke award is given to the chiropractor in the state of Wisconsin that has less than five years experience that best expresses chiropractic to the community as a whole. I did that by being the president of the South Madison Business Association, the vice chairperson of the African American health network in Madison, Wisconsin, and the health and wellness chairmen of the 100 Black Men of Madison. I also mentored a young man through big brothers and big sisters of Dane county.
To keep giving back to the community I am now a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association, Rotary and the 100 Black men of Triangle East. My staff and I attend many seminars throughout the year to further find better ways to serve our patients and the community. I now call Raleigh home and have been in private practice for six years.
In good health,
